Robosoft Technologies has inked a deal with retail publisher Encore to use the company's DRMConnect, a Digital Rights Management scheme to manage the licensing of its Mac products and game titles for digital and retail distribution. Encore publishes a variety of games for Mac including Hasbro Family Game Night, Hollywood Squares, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Hoyle Card Games 2011, Hoyle Casino 2011, Torchlight, and Fate.
Mercsom and GamersGate use DRMConnect, which is detailed on this page. The DRM solution allows for trial play of games (based on minutes or days), a registration system, activity tracking, and an anti-piracy layer.
