Gamer's Buddy May Help Nab SLC Punks

A Salt Lake City man was gaming early in the morning sometime this week when a group of intruders kicked in his door.

Fortunately, the gamer was playing an unnamed online computer game with voice chat, and one of his playing participants, perhaps a real-life friend, was also from the SLC area. Hearing a commotion through a headset prompted the gamer's buddy to hop in his car and race over to the victim's house, where he arrived just in time to witness the alleged perpetrators fleeing the scene with a bunch of electronic items and the victim's car.

The would-be hero told police that he believed he recognized one of the home invaders as they removed a mask.

As of this morning, police were still searching for the suspects.
