Silicon Valley: Asleep on Net Neutrality

Stacey Higginbotham from GIGAOM points out that technology companies - whose very livelihood relies on the free flow of broadband traffic - need to put some dogs in the fight for net neutrality. She highlights a few reasons why this might be, but the muted response makes no sense in the wake of telecom lobbyists spending to vigorously advertise an anti-net neutrality message and pressure lawmakers to in turn pressure the FCC. If technology companies don't engage lawmakers with a strong message then net neutrality will soon be DOA, she believes. Certainly telecoms are treating the reclassification of broadband as an all out war that they must win.
