: GamePolitics.comUbisoft Confirms Layoffs at Red Storm Entertainment
By james_fudge
Red Storm Entertainment confirmed earlier this week that it has laid off 38 employees from its North Carolina studio. A spokesperson from parent company Ubisoft confirmed the layoffs with Kotaku. The spokesperson said that the layoffs were due to a "realignment of production priorities" and that those employees affected by the layoff would be given an opportunity to apply for positions at other Ubisoft studios.
Red Storm was founded by author Tom Clancy and British Navy Captain Doug Littlejohns in 1996 to create active experiences related to Clancy's popular books on war, espionage, politics and military activities. The studio is best known for its Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon game series.
