Questions

1. Is Pressman Settlements Corporation appointed with all major highly rated life insurance companies?
2. Is Pressman Settlements Corporation appointed with all the structured settlement annuity issuers?

Upon information and belief Pressman Settlements Corporation is engaging in false advertising because it is NOT appointed with ALL major highly rated life insurance companies, which number in the thousands.

Upon information and belief Pressman Settlements Corporation is engaging in false advertising because it is not appointed by ALL structured settlement annuity issuers. If it pipelines a case through another broker, it is not derived directly from the the life insurer when the structure is purchased. The second statement above is only true to the extent that Pressman places business with an annuity issuer with which it is directly appointed.

TALKING POINT: Pressman states its services to attorneys include:

• Providing expert evidence at trials
• That these services are proven, are in place and are available at no cost to attorney or client.

Questions

1. Assuming someone with barely 5 years of practical experience in structured settlements can be qualified as an expert, and the trial attorney decides this is the way to go to present evidence on the subject at a trial, does this mean that Pressman will travel across the state or country, pick up her own expenses and then testify "pro bono"? OR
2. Is Pressman Settlements Corporation advertising this service as quid pro quo for structured settlement annuity business? If so, would such practice not run afoul of New York State rules? Expert witness testimony at trial would not be part of the usual and customary services provided in connection with the placement of a structured settlement annuity.
