The incident itself, that is, The Flub/s, and the attendant hand-ringing exactitude over the oath's wording, including the due-over, is an EXQUISITE GIFT to those of us arguing precisely for AN ANALOGOUS, PRINCIPLED, RIGOROUS, LITERAL ANALYSIS OF THE < NATURAL BORN CITIZEN > CLAUSE, its text, the intent of the Framers, and its history in case and commentary, on the far more serious -- indeed potentially fatal -- error on the part of those who continue to choose to overlook that Constitutional command as a < suggestion > or < technicality > or mere < annoyance >.

Further, consider the precious irony that it is Roberts, whose confirmation SoetorObama voted against, who was likewise commanded -- not requested -- by The Supreme Law of The Land to administer AN EXACT, PRECISE, LITERAL Oath, who is now assuredly the third of The Nine who wishes to docket an eligibility requirement case { ThomaScalia clearly the other two } : one more to go !
