: Cleveland Law Library WeblogLocal Man Fined $50,000 for the Unathorized Practice of Law

The Ohio Supreme Court has fined Bruce Andrew Brown of Cleveland $50,000 as sanctions for holding himself out to be a lawyer, representing clients, and filing legal documents. Although the Court's decision indicates that Brown is a disbarred lawyer from New York, he never obtained a license to practice law in Ohio. The Court's Press Release indicates that Brown has a history of impersonating lawyers and committing various crimes. Click here to read the Court's opinion.
