Legal secretary Dianne Moran thought she saw a pussy cat in her Hampshire, England back yard - a really large pussy cat. Or a massive moggy, to use an English term for a domestic house cat. Or maybe a snow leopard. Or possibly a wolf.

Anyway, it was a REALLY BIG cat, and it created a bit of an uproar prowling around in Hampshire back yards, looking more like a cougar than a moggy.

As it turns out it, the mystery beast might be somebody's much loved - but very large - exotic house cat. A local family lost their beloved Snow Leopard Bengal, Machui, about eight months ago. Here's his picture:

His owner says he's friendly and loves kids - even though I can totally see how Machui could be mistaken for a kid-eating cheetah.
