Couple Together 65 Years Die Together In Auto Accident

James and Blanch Whiddon had been married for 65 years. They told relatives recently they could never live without each other. After a car accident, they died three days apart last week.

James, 85, and his wife who was 79, were on their way home from the grocery store September 30^th. They had gone together, as they usually did everything.

Just before noon on U.S. 1, a tractor-trailer ran a red light. James, who was crossing the intersection on a green light, drove his pickup under the trailer. He died at the scene but his wife was in a coma for three days before dying.

Her daughter says, "They wouldn’t have been able to survive without each other.” It’s just a tragedy.”

No charges have yet been filed against the truck driver of Massachusetts but certainly an accident reconstruction specialist could put together exactly what happened and why. An investigator needs to look at the health of the tractor-trailer driver and how long he had been driving, and what condition the truck was in.

There are many questions to be asked and a time of grief is not time for the family to begin asking them. We are truly sorry for the loss of this much loved couple. #
