Fisher-Price expands recall of lead-tainted toy blood pressure cuffs

Recall now includes green cuffs

On December 14, 2007, Fisher-Price expanded its earlier recall of toy blood pressure cuffs to include both red and green colors. The recall is in effect because the toys are tainted with lead, posing a lead poisoning risk to children.

The recall of the green toy blood pressure cuffs, part of the Sesame Street Giggle toy medical kits, is only effective in Illinois, which bans the sale of products with lead levels greater than 600 parts per billion. The kits, however, are sold nationwide.

Consumers with questions can call Fisher-Price at 1-800-298-0638.
