Inside with an Intern

Hi, my name is Matt Russell. I began interning in Congressman Conaway?s office in late January. I was raised in a small town outside of Houston, and I recently graduated from college with a degree in Psychology.
My time in the office has been really a great opportunity. I have met several people, and enjoyed spending time with my office. Not only has this internship allowed me great networking skills, but I have also learned many things about the functions of Congress. When we are in session, things can be busy and exciting; I thoroughly enjoy the fast passed environment! When we are out of session, I get the opportunity to learn more about the other staff in the office, and spend quality time with the other intern, Madelon. This office has been a blessing and I am ever grateful for the opportunity! Matt Russell- Intern in Rep. Mike Conaway’s DC Office
